Episode 34: One at a Time
It’s been a very busy weekend. I helped set up and tear down my wife’s booth at the local tattoo show, took the dog to the vet, cleaned some house, cooked a gluten-free meal for a friend who was at a wedding catered by clueless people, (“Yes, we can definitely make a glucose-free meal”) baked a cake and some buns, played some Super Stardust HD and the Batman Arkham Asylum demo (that game looks like it will be fucking rad, by the way) and gave myself a first degree burn on the end of my thumb thanks to an oven mitt with a hole in it and a brain that has no sense in it to throw said mitt away ages ago when the hole first appeared.
I had planned on getting more of my internet presence worked out this weekend, but frankly I’m just happy to be among the somewhat living again.
I am slowly but noticeably getting my anxiety issues worked on, with much thanks to Donna, my incredible therapist, and the following workbook, which she recommended:
The Mindfulness and Acceptance Workbook For Anxiety
If you or someone you give a shit about has issues with anxiety, PTSD, panic attacks, or anything from that family of sucktasticness, I can not advise more strongly that you get this book.
Okay, that’s my pubic cervix announcement for the week. See you friday for the next installment.
